Who am I?

Hello and thank you for visiting my blog. My name is Phil Max and I’m a little yellow bear. I live with Ben (who I used to work with at Northern Foods) and his girlfriend Eddi (who helps me with typing).

My job at Northern Foods was to diffuse tense situations by throwing myself, mostly with assistance, at people who were taking things a little too seriously. Sadly the team were disbanded in a company re-structure so my services were no longer required.

So here I am semi-retired. Sometimes I go to work with Ben but I mostly have days off now which is great. Since I have a lot of time on my hands, I thought I would share stories of bear life and, in particular, stories about travelling because we like to go on holiday. A lot! We mostly try to do this pretty cheaply because they’re both fairly nifty bargain hunters. I hope you’ll enjoy my stories and that some of my posts (I’m a bit behind currently so endeavouring to catch up with typists help) will give you ideas about places to go.

At Black Rock SandsYou can see all of the places that I recall visiting (my memory is terrible but I only have a tiny head so not much room to remember lots) on my Where I have been page so if I haven’t written about it yet or haven’t covered it in the relevant post and you are interested in visiting, do drop me a line as I’d be happy to offer advice.

In any case, please feel free to leave a comment or just a hi to say that you visited.  If you’re a travelling toy then please leave me a link where I can read about you as well.

You can also find me, well pretty much everywhere actually (time on my hands remember). I am on Twitter under the name of philmaxbear. I also put some of my pictures on Flickr. If you’re a travelling toy and you’re on Facebook I’d love to be friends.

A word about pictures…

p.s. All the photos on my blog, are taken by either Ben or Eddi and mainly link back to our Flickr sites where there are loads more nice pictures. If a photo isn’t ours I will always credit it and link back to it’s source.
